October 20-26, 2014 – The second Brunei Darussalam Indonesia Malaysia the Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) week of celebration with five (5) other ASEAN countries will be held at Davao City, Mindanao Philippines which is super headed by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), the Philippine Coordinating Office for BIMP-EAGA.

The 2nd BIMP-EAGA & IMT-GT Trade Fair and Business Leaders' Conference is expected to draw more than 200 international exhibitors and around 800 business leaders, traders, government officials, and potential investors.
The Mayor of Davao City, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said “The City of Davao welcomes this event as an opportunity, not only for Davaoeños, but also for residents and entrepreneurs in other cities and municipalities in Mindanao, to effectively promote investments and generate trade in their respective jurisdiction,”
With that Janet Lopoz the MinDA Executive Director said “Beyond mere showcase of unique products and investment opportunities from across the five countries, this international trade fair and conference will also benchmark on the our preparedness for the ASEAN economic integration by 2015,”, encouraging all Mindanao-based entrepreneurs to participate this huge event to be held here in the Philippines. It’s a great opportunity for them to learn, network, and grab opportunities.
Other activities posted on their official website and that is said to be featured during the weeklong festivity also include ASEAN Street Food Festival, East ASEAN Film Festival, Importers/Exporters Forum , Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Summit and Innovation Expo and a friendly Golf Tournament.
